Wishing you a peaceful Christmas

From Paul

hope

Thank you so so much for all your sweet and good wishes - right back at you!

What do I wish for at Cristmas? "Peace on Earth and good toward men and women of good will."

We got a Christmas greeting from Polish Faithy who is working together with Joy out in the East of Ukraine not far from the front line of the war there. Besides thanking us for the recent gift she wrote...

It's only 7 more days to Christmas, but some people in Ukraine don't feel like celebrating Christmas. In fact, neither Christmas nor the New Year day is a free day in Ukraine because of the war. Children will go to school, parents will go to work.

But Christmas is the time when we remember that there is always hope that good will come from our troubles, because God’s love and mercy are that great.

It’s a time when the birth of Jesus is a reminder of what a beautiful gift we have in Him—the gift of grace, mercy, forgiveness, and hope.

We celebrate what God has already done for us.

So may your Christmas be blessed with God’s love, peace, and joy.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, full of new hope and faith!

With much, much love,

Faithy

It reminded me of when Zacharias was prophesying over John the Baptized as his birth,

"To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." ~ Luke 1:77-79

Happy peaceful Christmas!
