I'm still getting used to my new lifestyle with the hermo dialysis, and recovering from my latest operation, so I have been a bit slow in my regular tiramisu's.
I am thankful for more free time and we are enjoying the Spring, the budding greenery, the daffodils and the lovely lake nearby. Yesterday we went down to the water front and there were literally hundreds of small sails in several different races.
So life goes on even while the World is burning.
Speaking of which, I was reading Matthew 24 and He promised wars and rumors of war (along with natural disasters), and those are only the beginning of sorrows. Then He goes on to talk about "the abomination of desolation", that the prophet Daniel talked about, standing in the holy place.
Several times in those chapters He also mentions that no man knows the timing and I believe that to be true, but as someone said, when asked about current events and the end time, "it sure ticks a lot of the boxes!"
Many times in history people have thought that this or that person was the AC, but it turned out to at best to be foreshadows of the final fulfillment, so I am not going to say when or what it is now. Some of us would like to "get on with it" so the last seven years can begin and the redemption of creation can start. But I guess we have to arm ourselves with patience (a rare and precious virtue :-)
I went from the loveliness of Spring time to the great tribulation in a couple of paragraphs - ha!
I guess the conclusion would be, let's enjoy the good we have while we can and try to love our neighbor and those we are able to care for while we can. Luke 10:27
