Personal Pointers

I thought it might be helpful to give a little update on where things are going with the website and with my personal situation. So here goes...

Mytiramisu.org

As you know, or can observe, there are three main parts on the Home page.

1) the Tiramisu which consist of things I have begged, borrowed, or shamelessly stolen off the internet and sometimes added comments to.

2) The Blog, which mostly consist of my own writings or rants. (I sometimes I repeat myself - please bear with me :-)

3) Article of the Week. Links to items I found on the web that I thought might be helpful.

Then of course there are the other links on the top menu incl "Music," "The Future" and more.

Two more things while I am at it...

Sometimes links get broken, or blocked, or sited gets taken down. With the thousands of pages on my site it's impossible for me to catch all such errors. So I would very much appreciate if you could send me the link to any such pages that are broken so I can fix or delete them. Thanks

And the other think is my regret that I haven't been able to publish my second book yet. It covers some of the "Adventures as a Jesus Freak" between 1972 and up to 1989.

It's almost done but has been lingering in limbo over the final proof-reading. If all goes well I hope we can make some progress on it over Christmas. Please pray for that. I have been thinking about publishing it a couple of chapters each week on the Blog column, but we'll see.

My personal situation

As you may or may not know my health no longer allow me to move around much. I would love to attend fellowships or visit my four kids and their families, but it has become difficult since a year ago.

I have two conditions. I inherited polycystic kidney disease (PKD) from my dad. It started getting progressively worse in the later years until I had to start on dialysis. I shall spare you the details but it's a process that takes up three times one hour a day with about 5-6 hours interval, so any business, outings or appointments, (hospital visits, blood tests etc.) has to be scheduled carefully.

Also, a year ago I fainted while working in the garden and it turned out that one of the valves to my heart was clogged. So they inserted a stint in the valve to keep it open. A rather unpleasant procedure. But thankfully my heart it working even if a bit weak.

I am thankful that I can still write and do some witnessing via the internet. It gives me a sense of purpose.

We are still endeavoring to support various projects and individuals each month and for those of you who are sending gifts I want to assure you that they are included in what we are able to share with needy and useful projects and people each month - thank you!
