Faith, Hope and Love

The essence of God's Kingdom

God's Kingdom

That's what we long for, what we strive for. That's what will be the norm in the Millennial Kingdom of Christ

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." ~ 1 Cor.13:13

A Kingdom of kindness, understanding, patience, longsuffering, walking the extra mile, turning the other cheek, giving to the needy, helping the weak, lifting up the downtrodden.

It's becoming more and more obvious what Jesus meant when He said, "My kingdom is not of this world" ~ John 18:36 - because "this world" is rapidly heading in the opposite direction. Instead of faith, there is fear and doubt, instead of hope, despair and depression, and instead of love, confrontation, hatred and animosity.

The worldly empires has been on the rise since the time of Cain. Now it looks like it's coming to a head.

As was foretold in 2.Timothy chapter 3...

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;"

Thankfully there is a happy ending to the story.

...Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." ~ Rev. 1:5-6

So hang on tight, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." ~ John 16:33
